Terms & Conditions:


Our guaranteed check-in time is 3pm onwards.  On arrival please check in at The Little Gloster Restaurant & Bar and a member of the team will show you to your room.

Guests are politely asked to vacate their rooms by 11.00am on the day of departure. Please finalise your restaurant & bar bill at the restaurant.  If you would leave your keys at the bar on departure it would be greatly appreciated.


The Little Gloster Restaurant and Bar is closed on Sunday Evenings, Mondays and Tuesdays throughout the season, excluding Bank Holidays.  It is also closed on Wednesdays from January to June & October to December.

When arriving on a Sunday, if you could let us know your estimated time of arrival, it would be greatly appreciated.  We will be on site until approximatey six o’clock, but can arrange for someone to be here to greet you on arrival, if you’re arriving any later.  Any Monday / Tuesday arrivals are asked to inform us of their expected arrival time, so we can ensure that someone is here to welcome you.  Please find further details of our opening hours on our website -


In the event of a fire in your room, please alert the team and other guests and make your way to the restaurant car park.  In the event of a fire occurring elsewhere in the building, you should make your way to the restaurant car park.

Should you require First Aid, please contact a member of staff.  If you need any assistance at night, please contact the Night Time contact number listed in your room guide.


Each guest has a key to the front door and to their room.  If you misplace your key, please see a member of the team in the restaurant who will be happy to assist you.  Any lost keys will require the replacement of keys & locks and will be charged accordingly.  If you are going out, please feel free to leave your keys with us at the bar.


Smoking is not permitted in any of the rooms. The Garden Suite and The Balcony Suite guests are welcome to smoke on their private terraces using the ashtray provided, all we ask is that the doors are shut behind you.  Alternatively guests are welcome to smoke on the terrace outside the restaurant and in the garden where ashtrays are provided.  Evidence of smoking inside the rooms will incur an automatic professional cleaning charge of £200.


If any damage is caused to the room or premises, by booking, guests are agreeing to their settle their bill & any extra charges that incur during their stay and understand that they are liable for damages caused, wilfully or accidentally, to the property during their stay and agree pay any charges related.


We collect data about how our site is searched to enable us to understand and respond to the needs of our users. This data does not contain personally identifiable information. You can visit our site without identifying yourself or disclosing any personal information.

If you do sign up for our mailing list, your data will not be disclosed to any company outside of The Little Gloster and we will only contact you about The Little Gloster and our other ventures. Please check our website for full details.


If you have been given a Little Gloster voucher, please call us to finalise your reservation.  Reservations are subject to availability & vouchers are valid 12 months. Terms & conditions subject to change.


It is highly recommended that you book a table in the restaurant for lunch and dinner to avoid disappointment, as we are unable to guarantee availability in the restaurant during your stay. All Restaurant & Bar tabs are to be settled on the day of departure in the restaurant.


There is free car parking outside the restaurant.  If you have any problems or questions, the staff will be happy to help you.  Although we are located in a safe and quiet area, The Little Gloster accepts no responsibility for damage caused to vehicles whilst parked on our premises.  There are three parking bays directly outside The Little Gloster Rooms.  Should you need disabled access please inform us before hand and we will reserve a bay for you. 


The Little Gloster is happy to provide guests free access to the Internet in both the Restaurant & Rooms.

Sitting outside in the garden is a favourite pastime for many of our guests on sunny days and warm evenings. 

We want you to be comfortable, so please ask a member of staff if you would like an umbrella for your table if you get too hot, or a cosy blanket if it gets a little chilly.

For those who really feel like relaxing, please ask a member of the team for one of our extra large and comfy Beanbags or Sheepskin Rugs.



If you would like a newspaper delivered in the mornings you will find a request on your breakfast form. Just leave your completed breakfast form outside your room by 9.00pm the night before or bring it down to dinner with you.  


The Isle of Wight is located about 2 miles off the South Coast, measures 23 miles by 16 and can only be reached by boat.

Car and foot passenger ferries run to the Island from Southampton, Portsmouth and Lymington in Hampshire every day of the year. 

Hovertravel run an Isle of Wight passenger ferry service from Portsmouth to Ryde (25 minutes from Cowes). It's the quickest service to the Island taking only about 10 minutes. See

Wightlink runs car and passenger ferries from Portsmouth to Fishbourne (15/20 mins from Cowes) and Lymington to Yarmouth (25 mins from Cowes).  Visit for timetables and fares.

Red Funnel Ferries run both foot passenger (Southampton to West Cowes) & car ferries (Southampton to East Cowes) every day throughout the year.  Visit for a full timetable of services.

Trains - All mainland ferry terminals have British Rail stations with links direct to the ferry terminals.

Travel time from London Waterloo to West Cowes is only 2 hours - you can catch the 5:30 and be in the garden by 7:30 with a glass of wine.

Cancellation Policy:

To guarantee the reservation rooms are paid for in full and includes breakfast. Any add-ons booked via our website will be debited from your card prior to arrival. Please settle your restaurant and bar tab prior to departure.

In the unfortunate event that you may have to cancel this booking, please note that our cancellation policy requires all amendments and cancellations to be made by email by 6pm, fourteen days prior to the arrival date. For stays of four nights of more, and for all stays over bank holiday weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights), Cowes Week and other premium rate stays, all amendments and cancellations are to be made by email by 6pm, twenty-one days prior to the arrival date. Any changes following this time, or a no-show, will result in a cancellation charge of the full stay.

Should we be able to re-sell your room, following a late cancellation, a full refund of the amount taken for the replacement stay will be refunded to you once the new reservation has been finalised.

On the very rare occasion we may have to cancel your booking, you will be told as soon as possible and offered either an alternative accommodation of the same high standard or a full refund. We regret we cannot pay any compensation or reimbursement for any expenses you incur as a result of such cancellation.
